Why not wait 4 more years for a new updated Accord?

2005 Odyssey with less than 30,000 miles. I plan on keeping it for a long time since the operating cost is minimal.

Until the wheels fall off or it's no longer good enough looking to go on sales calls.

Or as we say in California... keep as long as it passes the emission test.

Currently, I get around in a 2001 Ford Focus hatchback I bought used early in 2007; it had a little over 50,000 miles when I bought it, now has 138,000. With two exceptions, one lost to an accident, every auto I've owned since 1975 has had over 100,000 miles when traded in.

I'm partial to "disposable cars"-- common-model sub-compacts for which it's easy to find parts. And I always buy used, usually from a mechanic I've known for a fair number of years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it -- or trade it in.

1971 Ford F100, bought it 14 years ago for $1200, had the motor rebuilt for $1700 and have no plans of ever selling it. It is by far the ugliest vehicle I have ever owned but the best running one also.

06' VW Jetta. Has about 110,000 miles, but is driven only 5,000-6,000 annually now (wife's car) so it'll be around at least until the other ride 12' VW Jetta is paid off...then we'll look at replacing the 06'. The 12' will likely be in the stable for 10 years minimum, and might stay for longer. If it does, it'll serve good 1st car duty for my daughter...who knows, maybe by then Diesel will be cheaper than gas...Lets hope.

1990 Honda Prelude 2.0S has 85640 on it right now, got it in 04 with 42k . Been a good little car, everything still works and no rust. Hopes to keep it around a few more years.

1994 Ford Ranger Splash -bought it new, has around 118k on it. Will keep this one till it can't be fixed any longer, it's just to useful to get rid of.

1965 Rambler Ambassador - has 52k on it now, bought it in 91 with 47k. This one I will keep around for a while longer I assume.

Year/Brand/Model?

My 2012 Toyota 4 Runner? Till 2022, I hope. It's my dog/baby car.
My 2011 Corvette Grand Sport LT4 Convertible? No longer than 2014. Daily driver.

My 99 SVT Mustang? Dunno...Had it since it was brand new, it's got 28,000 miles on it...*shrug* Don't really use it much. Maybe I'll give it to my kid in 10 years...LOL.
