I saw this question in the New York magazine recently, and about half the people responding said yes.

I have once, but it was to a friend. So, more like a greeting than a hostile gesture.

The real question is why one driver would flip off another driver.

Did they "brake check" you?

Did they cut you off?

Did they almost sideswipe you because they were texting instead of paying attention to the road?

Occasionally, there are understandable reasons (i.e.- mitigating circumstances).

Heck yeah, and ride down the road "holding the pose" for awhile, at times. Usually tailgaters, right after I get so sick if them riding in my trunk since I refuse to speed for THEIR benefit, that I slow down to a crawl.
(bonus point if there are easily passable open lanes on both sides )

Anyway I like to flip them off when they finally remember how to drive and pass me. BYE FELICIA!

^ going slower than the speed of traffic is much more dangerous than going faster.

Nah. I'm pretty easy going and it takes a lot to get me going. For the most part, I drive without interfering with other driver's much. Once in a while I get cut off, but it doesn't get to me.

I've had a few people mouth off to me for stupid stuff (like not taking a right on red when they are in a hurry) but for the most part I just smile at them and laugh to myself. Just not worth it.

A lot of it might have to do with the fact that I have a CCW and carry. I tend to want to deescalate and move on. I just don't want to be put in a situation where another driver who has severe road rage does something stupid when I'm with my family, like pull a tire iron out and start walking back to the car. For that reason I just let a lot of stupid stuff on the road go. Not worth it
