I meant AWD. Most trucks are available with AWD and have been for years. I recently sold a 2003 Dakota that was switchable between AWD, 4WD Lo and 4WD Hi. My Silverado is switchable between 2WD, Auto 4WD (aka AWD), 4WD Lo and 4WD Hi.
The difference between AWD and 4WD is that the center differ is locked in 4WD, which makes it unusable in many situations. AWD can be used regardless of road conditions. If you haven't experienced an AWD pickup, I suggest you do so. It will change your world. Old school 4WD is only good for extreme off-roading. It sucks at everything else. AWD is good at, well, everything.
