Cities are much more than their sports franchises bro! I keep trying to tell you guys this. If they took the Orioles and Ravens out of Baltimore, what would these people do??!!

You have a lot of New Yorkers in Baltimore who are Yankees fans as well!

EVERYONE bleeds purple and orange, period.

Either look them up (which you should've since the date of that posting) or find your own list. It's not that difficult when the Internet is right in your face.

Having grown up in on the PG County side of the DC area, back in the 90s, I use to loathe Baltimore because back then let's be honest, it was a raggedy city with a ton of blight and the only thing I felt it had going for it was the inner harbor. But in the years since I've been an adult, I started appreciating Baltimore a lot more for the past 10 years mainly because of the gentrification that is slowly taking shape around the city. And on a whole, people are a lot more friendly and down-to-earth compared to DC. My favorite places in Baltimore are the inner harbor, aquarium, M&T Bank stadium. Gameday Warehouse.

There is a large contingent of Steeler Fans in our fair City though...

So you had to wait til Baltimore's gentrification program to start for you to even pay attention to the city? That is quite unfortunate!

Well you gotta keep in mind, I was a kid back in the 90s. I'm 30 now and I'm not the same person that I was back then. If I was an adult back then I probably would've appreciated certain aspects of the city.....but to a pre-teen/teen like I was then during that time, I just couldn't see what the city of Baltimore really had to offer other than the harbor, not to mention that was back during the crack epidemic, like in DC, during that time.

1990s for Baltimore was an extremely rough decade for the city, especially into the mid two thousands accurately depicted in The Wire. I think we could accurately say that Baltimore is an underrated city regarding the specific fact that the city was on the decline in population for decades until last year. I believe the catalog of being underrated as a city can be seen in a few aspects. I'm thinking restaurants, particular neighborhoods, historical significance. But when it comes to crime, affordability, blight, the social ramifications of the city, their is nothing underrated about these qualities.
