Philly shutting out Arizona in Game 2. If they win, then they have a good chance at getting back to the Fall Classic. Strong lineup.

11 runs allowed in 6 games vs Braves and DBacks is the key. Lockdown pitching, starters and pen.

Not as many boo-birds in Arlington as the Astros have experienced powerfully in other places, but it could be enough to motivate these guys. Every game will be a must-win. Can Houston accomplish what the Red Sox actually did to the Yankees in the '04 ALCS? It's a stretch, but it's possible.
That was epic.

I loved it.

I like Yankees fans, but I couldn't stand George.

Not to mention the pain they caused the A's in the playoffs.

I wish they'd lose every game that they play.

They say solo home runs can't hurt you.. But.. Phillies are disproving that notion with the sheer number of them.

I'll be interested to see who they roll out for game 4. They've already said Suarez will start game 3.. So.. I presume they'll start Taijun Walker for game 4.. He had a good year. 15-6 though with a 4.38 ERA and a 98 ERA+

Christopher Sanchez was 3-5 with a 3.44 ERA and a 125 ERA+.. But.. He only pitched 99 innings.

Walker has playoff experience, though it's not good. Sanchez has a much better WHIP at 1.047 vs 1.309 for Walker.

Seems to lean that Sanchez would be the choice on most metrics, save for.. Experience. I don't think Sanchez has ever started a big game.

If it weren't for a wild pitch, the D-Backs would've shut out the Phillies in Game 3. The one run the Phillies did score in the 7th was due to Harper drawing a walk, advancing to third base on two plays and then scoring on the wild pitch by Arizona's submarine-style pitcher Ryan Thompson -- goes to prove the danger of lead-off walks/hits in the late innings. I used to cringe every time the Yankees got their lead-off batter onto base in the late innings of games with my Orioles; I used to shake my head and tell my wife "this is bad news."

At least one Phillies run tonight came from a walk with the runner eventually scoring. Walks are a killer. In the 8th when the D-Backs walked TWO Philly batters I thought it was curtains for sure. But D-Backs pitching got the outs and went on to win the game and the NL Pennant.

Anyone else notice that the OP vanished after his predictions blew up?

Looking forward to this World Series, not the same old crowd this year.

Especially want to see Adolis Garcia come to bat, IMO he's the new Big Papi, tremendous strength.

Good thing the World Series isn't in Denver where it snowed this weekend, how fun would that be, a new way to slide into home, make snow angels on the pitcher's mound, trick batters by throwing a snow ball that explodes when it hits the bat.
