Good move Yanks, even though it cost an arm and a leg! Let's hope not an arm though.

I was kind of hoping he would stay with the Brewers....oh well. Looks like the Yanks are abandoning their plan of building their team through their farm system.....

The Mets signed K-Rod...which I don't care, because I still think the Mutts will crash and burn this year. K-Rod is burned out after so much use last year.

^^^ K-Rod has 62 saves. Even if he gets half of that-31-that is still decent. The Yankees getting CC means one thing: They want to win NOW ( like always ). CC has his stuggles from time-to-time, but he can eat up innings and had a ton of complete games.

It will be even funnier when the Rays win the AL East again, with all of the big spending going on in the Bronx. I'll be rooting hard for the Rays this year.....they may be my second-favorite team from now on.

Let's face it: CC Sabathia proved that he's smarter than Hank Steinbrenner. $160 million to a pitcher? CC knew he had Steinbrenner right where he wanted him. So now the Yankees have a quality pitcher--and as Johan Santana showed last year, a quality pitcher by himself doesn't win you any divisions.

The Yankees are simply continuing in their long-standing tradition of going for the headlines. Any time they can do something to keep the Mets off the back page, they do it. Anyone who's picked up a newspaper here in New York for the last 40 years knows this to be true.

Like many others, I'm hardly surprised at Sabathia choosing the Yankees. How many of those other suitors really could have afforded that kind of deal anyway?

So who will the Yankees target next? Mark Teixeira or A.J. Burnett?

Not Teixeira now...too much $. Probably Sheets. Also heard chatter about Ankiel. They need a CF.

The Brewers worked CC hard last year....if his arm is shot, he could be another Carl Pavano....
