I was so right about the Knicks playing on TNT. You saw
Shots of the fans wearing bags on their head
Shots of carmelo with a suit on
Shots of Phil Jackson
Shots of Spike Lee
lol
14 losses in a row. Time to bump some of the old Knicks threads.
Remember their arrogant fans explaining how you haven't "made it" until you are playing in that big market and all the free agents would just be lining up to come play for them....especially Lebron.
With the Knicks now in their 21st consecutive rebuilding season, beginning with owner Jim Dolan’s first season at the wheel, a serious question: If Dolan owned and operated a kennel, would you board your dog in it?

The Knicks aren't really that proud of a franchise. They had a nice run in the late 60's/early 70's that resulted in a couple of titles and a decade long stretch in the 90's in which they usually fielded good teams.
Other than that, they've been a poor to mediocre franchise.

I would have LOVED to have been a fly on the wall during PJ's negotiations with them as he essentially HAD to have asked if they were going to micro-manage him and over-ride his decisions.

Up until the Dolans they'd had some strong eras including a Knicks team that probably would have won a title but for Jordan finals-blocking them until they were past their peak and of course the earlier championship.
They had rabid fans, the garden was rocking etc etc.
Those teams they had in the 90's were way better than good, they were top 3 in the NBA a couple years and as a Bulls fan at that time there were a few years there where beating the Knicks in the ECF was harder than winning the finals. Portland and Seattle Championships come to mind.
Just caught the last few minutes of the Bulls/Wizards game.
Top 4-5 in the East is going to be fun to watch. Not sure I'd want to finish #1.
Or #5 for that matter.
Anyway, it's gonna be fun.
Wizards showed up tonight. Looking forward to the re-match next Wednesday. Also Wizards will play Atlanta on Sunday. That should be a good test for both teams.
