But I'm with you, in that I don't understand the comment that "it's far from over".

Maybe she means that future outbreaks are inevitable, which I suppose is true.

But once this outbreak is done, it's done. It won't be lurking in the jungle, bidding its time, it will have to be imported once again.

For me, due diligence means continuing to be mindful about reducing or eliminating mosquito habitat on my property, but it does not mean bundling up and applying repellent every day.

yes. that is what i meant. that there will be future outbreaks and we must do something to keep mosquito populations under control. didn't mean to sound so dire.
