Disney's Abandoned Park?!

The first water park that Walt Disney World opened was River Country in 1976. It closed indefinitely in November of 2001 following the September 11th terrorist attacks. It never reopened and was declared closed permanently by Disney in 2005.
The park is now left to decay and is overrun by nature... slowly being reclaimed by the earth from which it was developed.
The park was built on the shore of Bay Lake, with a wildnerness.. sort of "Huck Finn" theme. The park utilized...

Florida Scrub Jay's.... do they walk or fly?

What the heck is a scrub jay..... I see a picture of a bird......... wait......... don't they fly? Why would they be "crossing"??
Okay, I have an inquiring mind.... so I wanted to find out for myself.
So, here is what I found out! These little beauties are on the threatened species list for the State of Florida... they ONLY live in Florida.... and yes they can fly. HOWEVER, they like to walk along the side of the roadways and bury nuts..... and pick up bugs. Therefore........

Historic Motel in North Port - Warm Mineral Springs Motel

So, I went to discover the Warm Mineral Springs Motel to find out about it's architecture, and history...
I drove around the outside parking lot, to tour the outside of the building. I noticed the smell of a freshly paved parking lot... and really unique mid-century modern lines. The rooms have a door that announced the number, an A/C Unit and what appears to be NO WINDOWS... Initially, I thought this was a bit strange and definitely have to ask about this!
I went into the lobby...........
