Ugh. Two especially come to mind. ""The DaVinci Code" & "The Hunger Games". I just don't get it.

I think everyone feels that way about books others love. I know I've come across many, but I am happy to chalk it up to the fact we are all different with different tastes. What a boring world if that weren't the case.

50 shades of grey volume 1, I read it past half way and just couldn't stand to read another page.

Same thing here. I certainly don't consider myself a great scholar, but it seemed to be written for a 13 year old. Awful.

I couldn't finish "Mein Kampf" It's just a brutal rant.

Anna Karenina, I tired a few times but always gave up.

Stephen king, I tried a few but quit not far in, except for `The green mile`. It was quite good.

Same thing with John Irving, I really liked `Cedar house rules and a Prayer for Owen Meany but everything else of his I tried I hated and did not get far.

Red October was good but I did not finish any other of the Tom Clancy books I tried.

Pat Conroy is another author who wrote some books I liked and some I just could not get into. The Prince of tides is a great book but The great Santini sucks.

Anyone else have issues with any of the Song of Ice and Fire series (aka Game of Thrones)?

I pushed through but read them. But trust me, I was like, there went hours of my life I will never get back. I'm much happier watching the HBO series.

Someone also mentioned Hunt for the Red October. I loved the movie so much I tried to read the book. Couldn't do it. Went and watched the movie again instead. Haha. Sometimes I am soooo glad they turned a book into a movie. Especially if the movie is good and the book was hard to read.

I loved the first three books. I tore through them years before the series started. I also read through all of A Dance with Dragons quickly, though it wasn't as good.

A Feast for Crows...that one was harder. I skipped most of the Brienne chapters. They were boring.
