Gentrification helped a lot - Egleston Sqaure and any place west of Dot Ave for example were no go zones just a few years ago, now you have yuppies tripping over each other writing $700K checks for a slightly fixed up flat in a previously section 8 rental triple-decker. Replace criminals with law-abiding working professionals and you have less crime, simple as that.

I was just at the Naples zoo and heard all about this:

What's up with young men and tiger cages

Did you watch the interview? The guy seems very off, IMO.

Yup, he's crazy. Not surprised.

I'm just glad no one had to shoot this tiger like the one at the Naples zoo. Sad.

Don't forget to flush if you ever use the toilet at Back Bay Station. I think I'd climb into a dumpster before I'd ever sit on one of those toilets.

Actually, the men's restroom at Back Bay/South End station was recently (?) renovated. Probably the women's also?

No more exterior doors at the entrance, just walk in indirectly; yes, this deters loiterers of various types (from doing whatever until they hear the door opening like the restrooms of yore.) Many seem designed this way for this reason nowadays.

Not sure what inside the stalls or on and around the toilets looks like, especially late in the day -- but if it's like South Station, a custodian is sometimes seen trying to keep it somewhat presentable at times.

A guard was standing near the sinks last month for visibility, at least when I was there, and the sinks were relatively clean that visit, and modern, and I recall maybe each sink with its own mini hand dryer?
