I've read articles about heat causing aggression but nothing specifically about hot pavement and I hardly think that should be an excuse for Murdering or putting your hands on anyone:

https://www.wgbh.org/news/local-news...r-us-to-offend

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.psy...gressive%3famp

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...l-warming.html

To me is just shows lack of intelligence and lack of control over ones emotions of you just lash out when you get hot. If we're really going to get specific about it it's been said that Black people are better equipped to deal with the heat than any other race and that would sense given that their roots go back to countries with very high temps.

Feel like people are trying hard to come up with reasons why killings happen but we haven't had many hot does yet. Feel similar to people blaming murders in Chicago on lead poisoning and high lead levels yet more people who've had high lead levels haven't killed people. A nice hot summer day shouldn't cause that much anger.

Sheer insanity.

Infuriating.

Well apparently the liberals understand this and say it's true. There a sucker born every minute i tell ya. Let's think of anything we can other than to blame these poor oppressed POC for killing each other.

Larry Calderone says ‘morale is very low’ in Boston police union

https://www.bostonherald.com/2021/05...-police-union/

"The head of Boston’s largest police union said he’s been “very surprised” at the violence and anger directed at officers in the wake of the murder of George Floyd.
“Morale is very low right now,” said Larry Calderone, president of the Boston Police Patrolman’s Association. “I’m sad to say it might be the lowest it’s ever been in my entire career.”
Calderone pointed the melee in Boston last May 31 days after Floyd’s death, saying things have remained heated since between police and the public.
“It’s extremely hurtful to continually hear the same rhetoric — not only from some of the anarchists from outside of Boston but from our own elected officials as well,” Calderone said in an interview with Jon Keller on WBZ-TV. “We’re looking for somebody to stand up for us.”"

Massachusetts Senate reloads funding to combat Boston crime

https://www.bostonherald.com/2021/05...-boston-crime/

"Lawmakers are jumping in with added funding to brace for summer violence, with state Sen. Nick Collins saying “we can’t ignore” that police need resources.
The Senate late this week backed a series of funding line items to buck up troopers and the Boston Police Department as Acting Mayor Kim Janey and law enforcement officials zero in on gangs in the city.
“We have to be holistic in how we approach crime, but we can’t ignore it,” said Collins, whose 1st Suffolk Senate district stretches from Southie through Dorchester and Mattapan and into Hyde Park.
“We need to make sure we have the resources to do that,” he added. “We can’t turn a blind eye. We need to be prepared.”

The Senate amendment, that needs approval from the House, calls for:
  • $50,000 for State Police Troop H dedicated to patrols at state parks and beaches in Dorchester, Mattapan and Hyde Park.
  • $100,000 to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority police force for dedicated patrols at Red Line stations south of South Station.
  • $300,000 to BPD for gun violence prevention by the Youth Violence Strike Force, to work with nonprofit, community-based and faith-based organizations.
  • That includes patrolling parks and Mass and Cass — the “Methadone Mile” — that has become a top concern in the mayor’s race.
  • Bumping up funding for Shannon Grants, to reduce gun, gang and youth violence, from $11 million to 12.3 million.
He said the city-Beacon Hill link shows when Boston is “at our best” teaming up to “drive down crime — and particularly violent crime.”
Janey, Suffolk District Attorney Rachael Rollins and Boston Police Acting Commissioner Greg Long spoke this week about needing to roll out a summer safety program that includes helping cops as a defund the police movement still looms."

Curious as to what is causing all this violence over the past few weeks. Pretty sure it's not covid slowing down as anyone who is out killing someone probably wasn't quarantining or following covid rules. Just seems like this happens every summer. But it's barely even summer.

The asphalt is heating up, don't ya know?

But looks like even Rollins is taking this problem seriously now...

Boston’s Methadone Mile crackdown: Dozens of drug indictments, arrests announced

https://www.bostonherald.com/2021/05...sts-announced/

"Dozens of indictments against suspects “profiting from pain” along the drug-littered Methadone Mile have been handed down as the city’s crackdown intensifies.
A Suffolk County grand jury returned 36 indictments against three people, and dozens of others face arrests for offenses contributing to the Mass. Ave. and Melnea Cass mess, the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office said Monday.
Addressing the problems at the Methadone Mile has emerged as a key issue in the Boston mayoral race during the last month, with many candidates laying out Mass and Cass plans.
These arrests and indictments were the result of an “ongoing long-term, strategic and collaborative approach to addressing violent crime in Suffolk County,” the DA’s Office said.

“These individuals are each accused of preying on and profiting from the vulnerability, desperation and afflictions of others,” DA Rachael Rollins said. “Further, their actions have significantly impacted the community where they sold their deadly products. We will not tolerate the repeated infliction of harm on our neighborhoods and vulnerable members of our community.”

The three people facing a total of 36 grand jury indictments are: Jay Candelario, 40, of Lowell; Dale Clarke, 24, of Boston; and Robert Lewis, 56, of Boston."

This story caught my attention:

https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local...esday/2394388/

Kid is from Braintree, goes to URI, Dad died in February. No idea why he would throw a bottle at the NBA player, but why is this getting so much press?? It was NOT an act of racism. The player stomped on the Celtics logo and is know for being a PITA. The bottle didn't even hit the guy yet the kid was arrested and now could face 10 years in jail. I'm sure he wont get any jail time...but these days who knows?

It just feels ironic because there have been many protests that involved protestors throwing rocks and glass bottles (NOT PLASTIC) at cops an we didn't hear specific articles about who exactly threw what.

This feels like the media making a big deal of this because it was a white guy throwing a bottle at a black man. I'll point out again that the plastic water bottle didn't even hit anyone.

If this was the only incident, maybe it fades away. But instead we have the popcorn dumping, and the spitting incidents - all white fans against black players. This guy looks like a copycat, maybe thinking he can get away with it because "everyone else is doing it." What a dumbass.

Who cares what college he goes to, or about his dead dad? Nether is an excuse to assault athletes.

And you know this how?

Fans spent the entire game chanting "F--- Kyrie!" Y'all deserved a logo stomp. Doesn't excuse assault.

So if someone shoots at you but misses, they shouldn't get arrested?

Whatabout-ism doesn't help your argument.
Also, police across the country very much did arrest people who assaulted officers. Just because you don't know their names doesn't mean they weren't arrested.
