I know... Ugh I'm bracing myself. I hope she'll exceed expectations. Suffolk County Sheriff Steve Tomkins endorsed her, so maybe that's an encouraging sign?

I'm thankful to the mods of Boston forum that they are generally cool and patient with us compared to some of the other boards (Atlanta boards for example threads get nuked the moment they get heated/political/off topic which kind of kills potential for interesting conversations).

On the other hand if they do feel things are getting overboard, I wish they could just delete those specific posts instead of just locking a 147 page thread on an important topic that contained 4 years worth of discussion..

To stay on topic here's another T related crime:

Weird place for this to happen. at state street of all stations. i guess being a smaller stop in the financial district it could be pretty empty at 10:30 on a Friday..

“ A Boston seventh grader is recovering from gunshot wounds after he was walking home from the bus with a friend for a sleepover in Hyde Park Wednesday night. It happened on Wood Avenue around 11 p.m.

“Some guy came up to us in the car. He was like, ‘where you all from?’ We were like, ‘nowhere,’ and then he was like, ‘OK’. He came back he started shooting,” said the victim’s friend. “He was like ‘I’m shot! I got shot, I got shot’…He started screaming…’Don’t let me die, please don’t let me die,’ and I’m like ‘What do I do?’ And then I called 911.”

This yet another Wood Ave/Ross Field gun incident. The 5th in the last 6 months https://www.universalhub.com/hyde-park/ross

No worries, soon enough this will be happening somewhere far, far away from Boston. It’s only a matter of time before all section 8 rentals get condoed out now that residential construction is for all intents and purposes banned under wu’s Great Green New Leap Forward and developers are switching to much more profitable lab space which will bring in a lot of new well-paid employees who will need a place to live.

Not many details on this story but the picture cracked me up:

I think Thursday was pretty nice out but not sure about tshirts and shorts like this group. I can’t figure out where this group would hail from in this type of clothing on a November evening.

Man shot and killed at Ross Field in Hyde park. This is the 4th shooting there in under 35 days. The Wood Ave Eagles are back in full effect.
