Wu should resign. She's totally wrong, especially for Boston. Not even remotely Bostonian. Go back to Chicago.

Everyone is a "person of color", given that white is a color. Therefore, every white elected official should attend in a protest of solidarity that racism is unacceptable in 2023, in liberal Boston, in liberal Massachusetts of all places.

If nothing else, this "peek through the curtains", if you will, has exposed to everyone that Mayor Wu and the elected officials of Boston, Massachusetts are not quite as tolerant as their liberal identity would suggest, and should give pause to those in Boston who usually vote Democratic for reasons such as tolerance.

White is technically the absence of color. But of course "white" people are kind of pink-ish or beige.

Totally true. 60 years later, JFK would not recognize his own party had he lived.

The Democrats are being driven by the unhinged minority.

Mayor Wu should resign. Or at the very least embrace her new nickname, Wu Klux Klan. She is giving Claudine Gay a run for her money in the nutter department.

I bet she thinks affirmative action isn't racist, too.

Not very smart considering there's many interracial couples today. That means some have to attend alone if their spouse or romantic partner is white.

I agree that the whole deal was not very smart, but in my experience most people attend work-related holiday parties on their own.

I'm doin' a Karen here after I saw the photo.

Where did good table manners go?

But table manners are the least of my issues. We all want our guests to feel comfortable in our home.

What disturbs me started at the very beginning of the administration after being announced the winning party. Kamala Harris didn't say, "Thank you for your confidence. We look forward to serving you." Instead she said, "Just wait until we get into the White House." A threat. To whom?

And I knew right away that some people were being excluded in the plans.
