She cannot exclude anyone in any way , shape or fashion when dealing with the people of Boston. Having the " Electeds of Color" party shown such divisiveness that does not reflect on her positively . My argument is what if there was a white mayor in office and they put out an email inviting "Whites only" or "Catholics only" , then the msm and every liberal would have a stroke condemning the party.
All of these elected represent white people. Only electeds were invited anyway, so it’s not like black or Asian randoms could attend. It was a closed party. Like other private ongoing in the city and city hall.

It’s weird that it came from her aide I guess- but ultimately it’s been happening and nothing’s been happening

This time, Wu Klux Klan has a problem in a major agency off-site from City Hall. Multiple sources say recent hire in "human resources" was escorted from premises last week by highers-up after allegedly making a number of virulently racist comments not wanting to hire whites. Also badmouthed veterans because, ironically, they get "preferences."

The woman — let's call her Mimi — was not popular w/co-workers. Wore sunglasses inside & had multi-colored hair.

Department in question has record of brazenly stonewalling legitimate FOIA requests but we'll keep working story."
OK, so why would this person remain nameless and second of all how much of a scandal if they were escorted out of City Hall? That tells me it’s not tolerable if they can’t even be at the workplace.

This isn’t to say it all kumbaya over here but the history is very different and less oppressive amongst all of us than it is between any group and white people. We all are generally blue (especially in Massachusetts) and generally way more urban than white people.

I mean I literally watched white kids ridicule one of two eat Asian kids in my class without hesitation. I do wonder how he felt internally. We were friend by virtue of being non whites playing lacrosse at high level in small white school but we didn’t discuss that. But yea lotta cringe accents and jokes about family honor…heard one kid from Walpole call him a “freaking kamikaze”

Now maybe this would all happen in a black school idk. But it def was happening at my schools.

Black people have to live with a bad brand righ? we have a bad some circles crime, or poverty. We know that to be the case we know where it comes from. We deal with it best we can

. White peoples brand isn’t as strong as you all think it is, but the perception is skewed, because people have to conform to what you all would like to see, in order to make money gain access to hall of power or do anything for productive reall. But in peoples freetime theydon’t always wanna y’know…
My man both Gov. Patrick and Obama came to power on the backs of White people. Newton elected a black mayor despite being what? 6% black? Who do you think voted for him.

What would ceding power mean to you? White people just not voting anymore? You’re expecting 70% of the electorate to step aside?

And it’s absolutely not true it’s the white people driving a wedge between Hispanics and Asians. Different groups have different interests all by themselves. (Unless I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying). Or like the Anti-Asian hate crime wave in 2020 had a big part of it done by African Americans. It very much wasn’t an exclusively a white supremacy kind of thing Affirmative action was killed by Asian American advocacy. Black people aren’t particularly pro immigration and drastically.

A lot of left wingers very much pretend anyone who isn’t a straight white Christian male is some sort of bloc but they’re really not. This intersectionality is very much not how people act in the real world. Minorities are not natural Ally’s of each other.

I think we both know Wu does stuff like this because as a suburban Harvard educated kid from Illinois who has been in politics her whole post grad life. She is totally alienated from “the struggle”. And wants street cred. She wants to “fight the power” or whatever but she is the power. Deep down she knows she is less like people like Tito Jackson than Walsh was and she is very insecure about it.

All one has to do is look at the hate-filled vitriol directed at her to where the FBI has to get involved.

That’s a really good reason for not even feeling safe around any white people at this time. You don’t know who is trustworthy with the leaking emails and mental health rumors spread about her.

This really Buffalo behavior doesn’t happened with other groups. That’s the commonality.

For one group, the invitation to their event was online. The group was........the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

I remember no-whites-invited events in local government from when I was working there more than twenty years ago. And it was during work hours!

Apparently, there are a lot of head-in-the-sand people who don't have a clue about this agenda.

Anyone that would host a party, especially a mayor who is elected to serve everyone, and have a party based on skin color, should be thrown out.

I could never hurt someone by excluding them from a celebration. I can't even imagine having a party and having the gall to limit who is invited based on their race. I thought we were above that but now it seems there is a major problem with reverse discrimination in this country. It seems to be okay with some of the posters here. Is that where we are in our society now? Did the black race forget that we fought and died in a civil war for their freedom? If that's the case, why don't we just cut each state in half, blacks live on one half and the whites live on the other? Or maybe we should separate it by Party affiliation.

Reading this thread makes the reality of this countries downfall inevitable.

This really is about silver-spoon-Wu trying to act like she knows the struggle.
Such a poser.

Talk about a HUGE stretch.

And true "reverse" discrimination? As a POC, I have yet to see that in action anywhere in my corporate career. I've always felt like I had to work harder than a White counterpart just to get a voice at the table.
