Due to ordinances passed by other city and towns in massachusetts and other new england states banning level 3 sex offenders from living certain distances from places where children and elderly frequent, boston has become a safe haven for sex offenders. Because boston does not have anything in it's books prohibiting level 3 sex offenders from living near daycares, schools, playgrounds, library, ymca, girls and boys clubs and anywhere else children frequent, boston has become the hub for level 3 sex offenders which other towns and cities have placed restrictions on. Examples of those restrictions are that level 3 sex offenders may not live or be within 1500 to 3000 feet of the above named locations where children frequent. There is a very, very alarmingly large amount of new sex offenders registering in boston every week for the past 6 months. In most cases, they are being told that boston is their only choice of where to live. The scariest part of this is that the majority of the sex offenders are homeless which makes them completely impossible to track or find. And due to boston not having any restrictions many sex offenders who are restricted (in say weymouth), will register as homeless in boston but then return to weymouth. The shelters in boston are beyond capacity therefore many level 3 sex offenders are left to freely roam the playgrounds, libraries, the "y", and where ever they so choose to. Many have even been observed by law enforcement at these locations but because boston has no restrictions on where they can be, there is nothing that the police can do. The biggest problem is that with other cities and towns passing city ordinances restricting where level 3 sex offenders can live, boston has now become host to close to 3000, yes three thousand sex offenders. So now that you know this, do you still feel safe? Oh, i almost forgot, due to other city and towns not only restricting where level 3 sex offenders can live but also work, those level 3 sex offenders now also work in boston. This gives many of them access directly to were children frequent. This is not a scare tactic, but the truth, in hope that the citizens of boston will place pressure on the local politicians for new ordinances restricting how close a dangerous sex offender is allowed to get to you child.

I find sex offenders just as abhorrent as the next person, but I've always wondered something... If we continue making laws about where they can live and work, where will they ever go? They will be driven out of the cities and then the suburbs and then the rural towns and villages... where will they go? Will they become homeless and untrackable? Will they make squatters camps in the national forests? will we be forced to build places for them to live, separate from the rest of the population?
If not here, then where? Prison? For life?

Where are you getting your numbers from? The latest records show 85 or so Level 3s living in Boston...

Considering this is your first post...and you don't provide any sources...this is looking like a troll thread.
