Not to mention idiotic 10 year gun ban for certain misdemeanors that don't fall under federal ban. Other states only ban for felonies.

OK ..... I'll give the final authoritative opinion on the OP.

It doesn't matter in any practical sense. Any LEO or USFS Ranger would find some excuse to steal (confiscate forever) your handgun if they caught you carrying openly, hand you a stiff fine, and maybe a little jail time (carrying w/o license is only a misdemeanor the first time). I've even heard of them claiming that if it was in a holster, it was partly concealed by the holster ..... seriously. They were probably blindsided by the fact that concealed carry was legal in unincorporated areas, and so they came up with that pathetic excuse to "make an example" of someone.

I don't think the Feds will challenge the state law, even though they allow open carry in national forests now. They're too busy raiding medical marijuana shops.

But someone does, the NRA. Their Eddie Eagle program teaches gun safety to kids.

From a strickly military standpoint, yes it is. However, not mentioned is that in any large insurrection or civil war the military will be fragmented. Many troops would disobey orders and refuse to fire on fellow Americans. Many others would leave their units and join the other side. It has been this way in every nation throughout history, and it would be so again here if it happened.

Most wild pigs are domestics gone feral, not 400 pound wild Europeans. They will be under 200 pounds, and while a handgun is not the ideal choice, a good shot with a larger caliber weapon with proper loads will be able to drop them with a solid hit in the proper spot.

Pure bunk. A .357 with the best hot +p loads is a very good penetrator and a very good self defense choice. Even a milder load from this revolver is going to penetrate into the vital area of a pig.

Speaking of bucks, guns and "cross," what I was to know is how do they teach the deer to use the deer crossings?
