That was 1998 so I had no qualms about buying a 1998 F-150 4WD Supercab then, with 16 MPG. I still have it, 185K miles later. I spent $19,900 for the truck and (at an average of $2.50/gal) I estimate I've spent almost $30,000 on gas.

Just disconnect your TV set and go out to your car and head for the Angeles Crest. Or the beach. Or Mulholland Drive. Or PCH. Or Bouquet Canyon.

All those places are still there. All you have to do is turn off your TV set and go.

I was just a little kid then, but you know what? Maybe we did, or how about Jack Benny on Sunday afternoons? Oh, then "Henry Aldridge" or "My Friend Irma" Bet none of ya can remember back quite that far???

Hate to start this where is it better debate, cause this is a fun thread, but here in AR they still say "sorry" or excuse me, specailly the kids. Of course the other day a little girl about 4 bumped into me, her daddy said "what do you say? "and her answer? Are you ready? it is true, not just an e-mail joke:

"I'm sorry Grandma, do you need to take a pill?" I thought it was funny, her dad did not...

Yeah, the problem is dealing with the crazy traffic to get anywhere now, even on a Sunday I am looking forward to long, leisurely walks, hiking some lovely trails and riding my bike in an area where traffic will be very minimal. Television holds very little interest for me these days

I remember back as far as "My Three Sons," "Gidget" and "Mr. Ed."
