Different dairy but same result. Those bottles were slippery in 5 year old hands.

Maybe you're right. Both stations broadcasting from Mexico. I've forgotten the details.

ETA:

Yeah, "The 'Big X' over Los Angeles, XERB!" Tijuana I think...

[quote=agnt.starling;17461001]Ok did someone mention the old Skateland in Whittier? I was really sad to see a landmark where all the neighborhood kids went (grew up in Whittier)...[/QOTE]

Whittier, huh? Did you ever eat at the Steak and Stein? Back in the 50s they served wonderful steaks accompanied by the most huge baked potatoes I've ever seen before or since.

There's a Spires about 5 miles from me. I prefer them over Denny's any day.

The one on Whittier Blvd in Pico, right? YEs yes, our father use to take us there after church if we had the $$$$ & were on good behavior...lol (it was either that or Dal Rae or Sir George's Smorgasbord), The Steaks were the bomb, & them potatoes were Humongous! but I went in recent years taking both my kids & was a little disappointed aside from the skyrocketing prices (which was always the case anyways) it just wasn't the same.... Do you remember Spaghetti Land that wasn't too far from there before Pico Mansion? (I think thats what it was called, I use to love that place too)....

I can hear it as well, right down to the inflections she added to "Tijuana, Mexico." And she didn't pronounce the x.
