Since a bed is the only piece of furniture (except for cat condos and a table at each window) I'll have until the remodel is finished, and it's freezing in here at night, if they didn't join me in bed we'd barely see each other.
Of course! they are allowed in bed with me ... I couldn't imagine not having Meeko next to me or Alfredo on top of me, spread out from my neck to my knees.
Meeko, little terror that he (usually) is, is the most precious, innocent looking, adorable piece of fluff when he's asleep ... lucky for him. lol
Alfredo sometimes wants to be coaxed into bed (he's not worried about Meeko when we are on the bed, it's a neutral zone, and I enforce it) I don't know if it's because he wasn't allowed on the bed in his last home or he just wants extra attention. Probably the latter.
How do all your cats do in the early mornings/middle of the night? My kitty likes to wake up around 4am unfortunately. I don't have to get up til 5 but she gets a bit meowy usually around 4!
My alarm goes off at 4:50, and then I hit snooze a couple of times. Mattie knows that song on my phone means it's time to wake up and feed her, so she'll start poking me in the face with her six-toed front paws. The other morning I woke up and I had a scratch just above my upper lip that wasn't there when I went to bed. I try to put my head under the blankets sometimes, but then she'll try to snake her paw underneath to get me, and sometimes she gets Foxy to join her in this venture. "Snooze" is very stressful for me sometimes!
My cats both sleep on the bed with me. Sometimes one gets under the covers. I know they are up and down during the night but I'm oblivious to them once I'm asleep. Sometimes they paw my face to wake me up!
I'm one of the few that locks my kitty out at night. We tried letting him sleep in the room with us and even at the foot of the bed, but his nocturnal habits woke us up and kept us awake at night, so out he went.
We have a routine where I tell him it's bedtime, he gets a few little treats and he goes off to one of 2 bedrooms, 3 kitty beds, or the big chair in the living room. We have lots of cuddling and lap time before bed, so he's not being deprived!
We are all happy with this arrangement and I get a good night's sleep!
I fall asleep with one in my arms, one at the back of my neck, and one under the covers curled into my stomach or the crook of my knees. In the morning I usually wake with the same arrangement, though they may get up in the night, then return, I don't know.
Half my queen size bed is taken up by three cat beds and in the summer months they tend to sleep more in their respective beds rather than pressed so close to me, but whether they are in their beds or curled up with me, they always sleep with me at night.
