I have come to the conclusion that you are in fact Kate.
would love to be her age and weight but alas no---i have worked with families with the same kate/jon issues(some of them with as many kids)--so i can REALLY EMPATHIZE with her issues and see her frustration--jon did NOT exhibit this behavior suddenly out of the blue--some of it was there before the kids i am sure!
IMO she is the one who alienated her family. That's how it appears, anyway. She was really mean to Jon. Yes, Jon is an idiot, but she was really mean to him. I don't understand your relentless defense of her. She obviously has her own set of problems. She's not perfect. She made her bed - married an immature guy, had 8 kids, and treated her husband like crap - now she has to lay in it.

not me...I think that they are both equally wrong in the marriage falling apart...and I do think Jon is acting like an idiot...and that Kate was extremely demeaning to him. I don't like either one them...equally.

Have you not HEARD the way she used to talk to him? She criticized EVERYTHING he did. He didn't pick out the right clothes for the kids, he didn't dress them in the right location in the house. He was trying to cook that Korean meal, and she told him if he had to follow a recipe he wasn't really cooking. She told him he BREATHED too loud! I don't have immense hatred toward her, but I don't think Jon was the only one at fault here, like you seem to. I don't think you see the situation objectively.
