I think we can all agree that Charleston is starting to get more and more crowded. Cripes some days it takes me 40 minutes to get home from work on a usual 15 minute drive.
So what I propose is that from now on when someone comes onto this forum and asks for advice about moving to Charleston we make up a whole bunch of nonsense to deter them.
An example response:
You do not want to move here, we have lived here for 3 years and hate it. All kinds of Alligators, Snakes and Bugs that carry disease. Sometimes you cannot go in your backyard because there is a gator sitting back there waiting for you to walk out of your house so they can get you.
The people down here are for the most part racist and hate all outsiders. If you move here you will not make many friends and will spend most of your time locked in your house.
No matter where you move down here you will pay over $10K per year in hurricane insurance, it is brutal, but you have to have it.
So what do you guys think? It will only work if we all stick to it. We can just keep it up for a year or so until some roads they are working on get built and then we can start telling the truth again.

Too funny. I have a similar thought every time the MP vs. Summerville schools arguement surfaces. I always imagine myself typing out "Wando is horrible, you definitely want to enroll your kids in Summerville High". Not because I have a "close the bridge behind me" mentality, just because I really hate that student drop off line in the mornings!!!
I have already quit with the it-is-great-to-live-here replies...you are right, traffic is really bad, the worst thing to me about living here.

Haha...I'd definitely hate to see this area become like the previous place I lived (DC Metro), but I have no room to talk as a transplant myself. I cannot lie, Charleston is great!
