There are a few kids here in the Battery, but I don't see many. There are however lots of stuffy Yankees that will cuss at you if you ask them if they plan on picking up their dog poop after they walk away from it.

Seriously, The Battery is a nice and fairly quiet place. We've enjoyed our stay here.

Everyone I know who lives in the battery is retired. Dunes West and Park West both have The Gates duplex. The only benefit of buying in Park West is there is a pool included. Dunes West you have to join The Club and pay for that.

There seem to be a good number of retirees in The Battery, but it's far from a majority (from what I've seen so far). There are a bunch of working age/class people here and quite a good number under 40.

Park West does have a pool, but The Battery has their own pool as well. I wake up to it every morning and am looking out the window at it as I type.
