I've never been crazy about Chick-fil-A, their chicken is too soggy for me.

Christianity has become so twisted in recent years.

After reading this whole thread, I can't help but think of this poem:

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist..

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I didn't speak up,
because I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no-one left
to speak out.

Are you kidding me? So, are you saying that the gay employees don't eat there? LOL!! Generalized opinions on issues whether it is gay issues or Christian issues are all in the eyes of the beholder. When one makes a foundless judgement and says that the restaurant is owned by Gay haters, that is unintelligent. Are you aware that there are actually gays that don't support gay marriage? How would you explain that? Does that make them like Nazis too? At least others have a choice whether or not to eat there. Should that choice be taken from them?

Brilliant! Another mindless assumption. And, you would probably have been a good Nazi for your non-tollerance for those that have opposing views

Are we really here? Are we really HERE?

We are now comparing the debate over gay marriage to the Holocaust?

You know that 6 million Jews were killed in the Holocaust, right? Did you also know nearly all of the homosexuals in Nazi conquered territory were also killed?

There is nothing, not one thing, in this thread that justifies this comparison.

Eating at Chick-Fil-A does not equivicate to hatred, Nazis, the Holocaust, or gay bashing. I feel very, very sorry for you if this actually seems like a reasonable comparison, argument, statement, or discussion topic.

Also, you're forgetting that roughly 50% of Americans (depending on the poll) do not support gay marriage. It's not a small minority position. Remember, Proposition 8 passed even in "liberal" California. Virtually every corporation in America has some owners, directors, executives, management, etc. that do not support gay marriage. In other words, Chick-Fil-A isn't unique. I can promise you this: No matter where you spend your money, you are probably supporting a cause you don't agree with.

Disclaimer: I don't really have a problem with the concept of gay marriage but at the same time, I believe all (gay or straight) marriage is a private affair and should have no recognition by the state.

Just as likely to buy good quality fast food at Chick Filet as before.

Their business, their right, their money. And if someone doesn't want to frequent the establishment, that is his/her right as well

I suppose if we investigated every restaurant and business that we support we would find owners and board of directors probably contribute to many things we may be for or against.

I did my own private protest against Ben & Jerry's ice cream when they financially supported Cindy Sheehan and her 15 minutes of fame .... and I really loved Chunky Monkey ice cream too! But I don't think me not purchasing Chunky Monkey bothered Ben or Jerry at all.

This went from chicken sandwiches to Nazis and communists.

Just think about that for a minute.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Bojangles? That was always the impression I had of their chicken.

Still ate it though.

They do have the spicy chicken sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich, both of which contain two S'.

I don't know. I'm stretching for a comparison here.
