Savage won every precinct. Marton held his own in the two Marvin precincts and the Kensington precincts. It appears that the Wesley Chapel/ New Town area folks (those in the epicenter of discontent) turned out for Marce at the Mineral Springs and Siler precincts. Sandy Ridge also went for Marce. Is that where she lives?

You're overlapping subjects here... "neighborhood schools" are a policy decision, not a legal one. Splitting neighborhoods could introduce transportation efficiency issues which could impact funding from the state, so that's a consideration. But, beyond that they can split a neighborhood - it isn't illegal. Cutting a neighborhood in logical chunks by streets (or phases) is not some convoluted address based assignment that can become a logistical nightmare later. The address is the assignment.
They said they wanted to eliminate split-feeders and the Lawson change ignores that. They said lots of things - but none of them are legally binding. They are ballot box issues if you decide you want to hold them to it.
You have to break away from this "fooling anyone anymore" stuff because it invalidates your arguments as if you believe there is some type of conspiracy here. They're politicians for gripes sake!
Just like I didn't say that Yercheck's ousting was a direct result of redistricting, I didn't say splitting a neighborhood was illegal. I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from. I was simply reminded of things THEY SAID last year related to address based caps. This has nothing to do with policy regarding an effort to limit split neighborhoods, and again, I didn't infer or state that it did.
The real point here is that any redrawing of lines (i.e., splitting Lawson) is at the feet of the sitting board. It also, yet again, violates BOE policy that clearly states: No geographic areas will be moved more than once between redistricting.
The biggest blowouts were at Wesley Chapel Elementary and Grace Baptist which both had a lot of the disgruntled Wesley Chapel voters. I think it was the BOCC/BOE lawsuit that led to Yercheck losing all of the precincts as several of the precincts were not affected much, if at all, by the redistricting.
Marton got savaged in District 6. Looks like he wasted his time and money. Not sure he ever really stood a chance against her. I don't think he has what it takes to make it Union County politics. He doesn't have the network, the background or the knowledge.

.
I don't follow. How is part of Lawson being "moved more than once between redistricting?" Also, does anyone even live in that geographic area? Are people already living in those phases?
This map illustrates just how divided UC still is based on the results of the BOE At-Large race. The results were pretty predictable though.
