he also lost Steve Smith, LaFell, Ted Ginn, Gross, Mitchell, Hardy, Munnerliyn, Godfrey, Tolbert,
and of course Stewart and Williams always miss a few games each year.
lafell wasn't great in carolina. He is having a good career now as he has tom brady. I am sure lafell was very happy to leave. Ginn was a return guy, not a great WR. Absolute bust at tenth pick overall in the draft by Miami.
no, dont you dare put Cam on the level of other "franchise" QB's like Brady, Brees, Manning, Rodgers, he is not even on the level of a Romo, Stafford, Dalton, Flacco, Roethlisberger, Rivers , E Manning, Cutler, Ryan, strictly for the finances. Cam is essentially a bigger, stronger RG3....great athlete, not to accurate....RG3 was Washingtons "franchise" QB, and they sat his butt down
Whether you like it or not Cam is a franchise QB. Andy Dalton had a game where he went 10 for 33, had 3 interceptions and a passer rating of 2.0...
he also has the same amount of playoff wins as Cam.
Felt, it just hit me....you are a Newton apologist....here is how it works.....last year, 12-4 "Cam Newton is a up and coming star that has led this team to a great season"....if they win 4 games this year, it wont be Newtons fault, it will be everything else BUT Newton (injuries, defense, receivers, coaching)....lol, i love you guys
Huh? Pretty much everyone knew the defense was the biggest reason for their 12-4 record last year. But yes, Newton did have a good year last year, as he did in his first two years. No, he's not having a good year this year, but that doesn't mean he's a bad QB.

Tolbert was a backup.
Agree with this. A lot of those guys weren't going to make much of a difference, especially a guy like Lafell who is a dime a dozen and is only good now because he has Tom Brady (actually somewhat on that point, it's probably worth noting that Ginn had his best receiving year as a pro last year with Cam throwing to him). But Hardy and Gross in particular were huge losses. Smith would've helped but I don't think he's as important as a lot of people are making him out to be (not necessarily on here, just in general)

You are correct on all 3 players but here is why the Panthers miss all 3.
Lefell wasnt great in Carolina but he was good at getting separation and he knew the offense... a much better WR than Cotch in a ball control offense when you dont have a WR with speed to blow the top off the D.
Ginn was the WR blew the top off of the D. Ginn was a bust at 10 but the Panthers didnt draft him or pay him like he was a 1st rounder.
How crazy would it be to see them win the division with only 6 wins.
