I remember it being Casa Gallardo. They had a booth that hung out over the first floor. I got to sit there a few times before they closed.
In no way am I trying to defend the sanitation grade, but you should really look at what the violations are/were. Little nitpicky t hings can really wreck your rating. Plus, they have some time to get a reinspection.
As for the food....it's decent. Not bad at all, not great by any means. The hot-hot wings (Blazin' I think) has to be the absolute worst thing I've ever put in my mouth. For a similar sensation, build a fire stick a poker in it and lick it after about 5 minutes. The sauce was nothing but heat. No flavor.
The other sauces are good. I can't remember which of them I like since I'm getting the names mixed up with a few other places.
On another note, they set the arcade games to free play on Mondays. If you've got kids or you want to play, it might not be a bad place to check out on Mondays.
I've never been to the one that used to be Champs. I've only been to the one at the speedway. I used to go there once a month for a couple years with a Corvette club I belonged to. Their menu gets pretty old after awhile. I always liked their onion rings & some flavors of their wings. The Lube Tubes are a great deal for 100oz of beer, just make sure you go up with someone who can drive you home afterwards.
Hmmmm..... I guess I should have looked at the link first. Some of that stuff is pretty bad. Some of it is just minor maintenance stuff.
When did they go to being a non-smoking place?
I agree w/you that somethings can be ticky-tack, but collectively, its bad
