It is very family friendly and festive. Most people pack a picnic supper, or at least bring bottles of wine and cheeze

Sounds like a lovely evening and we're really looking forward to visiting Charlotte again, even if it's only for a few days.

Smile Symphony

When i first came to Charlotte, these concerts were at Freedom Park and they were lovely.
They then moved to Southpark and the crowds were not real huge but over the years, this has become a very popular event.
We love watching the people who come equipped with tables, fancy tableware, etc. All they are missing is the waiter!!!!

This is one of our favorite Charlotte events. Yes its very family friendly and yes you need to be there before noon to reserve a "good" spot. However, if you get there a little before the start you might be able to find a small spot of grass behind this stage with a decent view.

They sell food and drinks there but most people pack a picnic with a bottle of wine. Very "southparky".
