My point is, you can't expect the school to do everything. You have to share some of the educational responsibility.
In the absence of nothing beyond anecdotal evidence (like your example of exceptional kids), a "rating" provides something to use as a gauge. Unfortunately there's probably plenty of stories on the other side of the spectrum.

I don't think anyone who is serious about education expects "the school to do everything". However, for many parents it's important to choose an environment that gives them the best opportunity to excel... Higher performing / higher rated schools are your best possible way to judge that at the moment.

We were also at Lake Lure just sitting eating lunch at a bench by the water, and there were people on a boat at the lake kinda far away. And they waved and said hello. It was cute!
southerners are friendly to tourists in general, try to live next to them, then problem ensues.

Default On our way!

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of those that helped me out with their input, opinions, and information. We did find a really beautiful home... that is plenty big for my large family... in a nice area with the help of a super great realtor. My family is very excited to get to our new home.

Now.. if anyone knows of someone that is trying to sell a fridge.. lemme know! haha!

Thanks again to you all!!!
