JB Porkchop in 2020:
Liquor stores and cannabis dispensaries are "essential businesses"...during a pandemic we had no clue on at the time.
Sales tax rates have also been raised under his tenure.
However, and in his defense; we got rid of Madigan.
Not sure how I'll vote, need to look at the other candidates.

Still too early to get the sense, which candidate I like the most. But hate to say it, but honestly I'm tired of J. Billions(as I nickname our current governor). Where to me, he imposed too many COVID restrictions on businesses when the pandemic began. And J. Billions has continued to raise taxes, even further. I don't get how people can be happy with him, but that's just me.

Not to forget Mayor Lightfoot in Chicago, since she imposed some stupid early COVID pandemic rules too. And I want to note all the COVID rules that were imposed in spring 2020, weren't all the fault of the current governor. I.e. that Lightfoot forced all Chicago off premises(to go) liquor stores to close by 9pm, and for a while closed all lakefront parks, the lakefront trail, and also the 606 trail. WTF?

I was leaning towards Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin for his stance on targeting crime. Until I saw the Chicago Tribune post about him "working for almost 15 years as a criminal defense attorney, specializing in defending people accused of the same types of crime he rails against in his campaign ads". FORGET HIM!

Unless the GOP nomination is a mainstream candidate and not one of these wackos, Pritzer will win again. This isn't Texas or Alabama.

Many believe, Pritzer has presidential aspirations and being governor is a stepping stone.

Does it really matter at this point? I don't even know who's on the ballot but if a republican actually wins he/she won't make any more progress than Rauner did. More than likely it'll be the Hamburglar... Err.. Pritzker or another Democratic candidate who will do squat for the middle class

Lots of us who lean left are totally estranged from the Democratic Party after their authoritarian behavior towards Covid. Legalizing Cannabis was really important, but it’s not enough. I won’t be voting for Pritzker again
