What part of Lakeview are you in? When I lived on Broadway & Belmont, Jewel was 3 blocks away, and Treasure Island, two. I know they closed the Dominicks on Broadway & Wellington. (Didn't it burn down?)

ETA: Never mind, you said you're by Market Place on Diversey, so you're in SE Lakeview.

The place is alright. Their meat department is truly awful -- cheap -- but awful.

Ok, I forgot about the TI, cause I never went there. And yeah, the Dominicks on Broadway and Wellington burnt down like 3 years ago. They are planning to rebuild it along with some condos but except for having put a sign last summer nothing has happened so far.

Still, no one has told me how much soy milk at Trader Joe's is.

Is it cheaper than $2.94 for a half gallon?

Yes. Not a SUPER huge difference, but maybe 2.49 a half gallon? For some reason the price is escaping me at the moment.

But Edgewater? Not so much. Pretty similar, actually.

I kind of have to laugh if this thread inspires people from across the city to go to HarvesTime. They'd be like, "um, what?" when they got to the parking lot.

BTW: Edgewater Produce is somehow linked to HarvesTime, and has similar deals--at least on produce. No need to head that far west if you don't want to.

Yes! Because it's just a grocery store! It's got pretty good deals, but there are stores not unlike it in lots of neighborhoods. Go check out those stores! The stores that have lots of languages in the window that you don't speak!

Especially prior to expansion, that's all Harvestime was.

It's a great deal for ME to go there because it's a manageable walk or a short bike ride away. Shop your neighborhood!

I don't know, I don't get hit on AND hit up for money by the same person every 5 seconds when I walk down the street in Edgewater as I do in Uptown.

I was sort of speaking for the whole of the far north side, including Ravenswood and Lincoln Square, etc etc blah blah.
