Are humans still evolving? If so, why haven't we started to lose fingers, and toes that we don't necessarily need anymore? With the technology rapidly developing, why aren't babies born today with longer/thinner fingers for texting etc...lol?
I always wanted eyes in the back of my head.evolution needs to evolve more in order to help us moms out.what would you like to have? I'd go for the extra eyes.

I think Hawking will be saved despite his unbelief. Thomas was.

It's a difficult question to answer, but we cannot forget that ancient man used "God" to explain things that were unknown to man or undiscovered by science at the time. Over the centuries, we have seen scientific discoveries replace God/creationism as the reason for why things are the way they are. For example, when Galileo discovered that the Earth was not the center of the universe, but rather, the Sun. The Christian church would not accept his discovery as truth.

Since Jesus died about 2,000 years ago, there has not been a single piece of concrete evidence that God exists. Perhaps the entire Christian religion -- and other religions, for that matter -- are utter mythology. Certainly, the Greek gods were eventually dismissed as utter mythology, because Christianity seemed more believable at the time.

Furthermore, the fact that I am homosexual is concrete proof that the Christian religion may be utter mythology. Why would God create someone that would not have proper sexual relations as seen in Leviticus? Another argument, however, could be that man altered the Bible over the centuries.

I am currently reading the Bible, and it is an extremely interesting book to read. However, as soon as I started with Genesis, I couldn't help but laugh at every other sentence!

But it is a very very educated guess, which carries a lot of weight when it comes from one of the greatest minds on the planet.

or...... one could go with a book of fables, written when man believed the earth was flat, and the center of the universe, but only a few thousand years old.

I wouldn't say that it carries a lot of weight until it can be 100% proven that God didn't create the universe. People who believe in God are trusting that God did it, and did it alone, nothing more or less. They don't need a scientist to explain how the universe was not created by a higher power---GOD, since this scientist is just only making an educated guess, which is about the same as Christians or non-athiests believing that some higher power GOD did it and having their so called book of fables to explain why it happened and what their creation was for----to glorify the one that created them. If Christians are wrong and the athiests and scientists are right, then we wont be around to debate it after we are dead anyway.

Okay, as you read the Bible, keep in mind much of it is not in the literal sense. There are parables and stories.

I think man has altered the Bible and there is information that has never been incorporated into the Bible. I don't know, but there have always been homosexuals and if altered, wouldn't it altered to favor their lifestyle.

You have a choice whether to practice homosexuality or not. God does not make you have homosexual sex.

I believe in God because I can think of no other reason we are here as thinking, reasoning, emotional beings. We are here for a reason, not just to die and then you are no more, like a bug...I believe in God.
