Is much more than a "name" in a book.. i come from a family that is absolutly not in the least religious.. i did not know the first thing about the bible or anything in it....
i knew jesus before i read the bible.. when i did read the bible i realised that it was the same person that i had already "met" i knew that i was reading about the person that was already teaching me... and cleaning me, renewing me.
I cant explain it in any other way . and the mind may interpret it in a diff way that i am intending but this is the only way i know how to explain.

i beleive that i do not need the bible to teach me about my savior.
I know that he is here with me now.. and forever and he can teach me all about him ... himself. i trust in his greatness and power and with him all things are possible.. even if it confuses our "minds"

That is jsut me.
God called me when I was grieved in spirit...he showed that the man Jesus would guide me from darkness to light....HIS unconditional "LOVE"...even before I opened the bible for the 1st time.

On the contrary...I needed the written words to validate what has been injected into my innate consciousness, and that is to...

~Love God with all that I am and my neighbor as myself~

Hence..."LOVE" became my compass and measuring rod in skimming through and separating the wheat from the tares, reading the scripture.

Peace be with you!

Isn't it ironic that the Bible itself talks about "rightly dividing" (which means separating) . . . yet they insist that everything must be taken AS IS!

You forgot to mention, Mike that you regularly tell other Christians here that they are going to hell and are the spawns of Satan. The Universalists do not talk to you in that manner. I guess you just can't see how you act around here. It's often hard to see ourselves as we actually are, especially the negative parts. Your patience wears thin because people refuse to accept your words of condemnation.

I disagree, Universalists (at least some, not all) are very rude to Christians here. His patience wears thin because the Scriptures are twisted by those who have been deceived.

Universalism is not Christianity. It is a false Gospel designed to deceive those who it may. You people who promote this Satanic lie are being used by the devil to keep people from understanding the issue involved in salvation and therefore never making a volitional choice to receive Christ as Savior. You have no idea of the magnitude of what it is you are doing.

Yes, and I also get tired of the scriptures being twisted. Most of what is talked about on a lot of these threads have nothing to do with Christanity.... whatsoever. It`s a bunch of gar-bage!!

Neither do you, Mike. The church has NO idea what it has done to millions of souls around the world. It's fruits are showing, and the bigger the fight gets, the more the anger will flow. It is only a matter of time.

2000 years of wars, manipulation, fearmongering, torment, inquisitions, crusades................It's bound to make a lot of people very cranky.
