Mk 8:38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels."
You are confusing the typial religious outlook of judgment like fred phelps wanna be's teach, and what Gods judgment actually DOES.
Gods judgment on me over the years has hardly been a pat on the head, but it has ALWAYS been for my benefit. It will always be for your benefit and always be for the benefit of every human being.
Pat on the head? No. Horror? Not at all.
God perfect love casts out fear, it will not inflict it on anyone.

Perhaps God was calling you, even though you had not yet responded.
Beside the point, I have not always been a believer and I can look back now and see that God was there whether I believed or not. You claimed that it was only because I am a believer and that is not true.

Nevertheless, God's judgment will be severe on those who reject His salvation.
Again, beside my point. I agreed that Gods judgment may not be a pat on the head. But they are always for the benefit of us all.

Fortunately we are not capable of rejecting our salvation since that was ALL Jesus . . . nothing to do with us. We do have to account for our own justification and sanctification which has consequences. We reap what we sow . . . but no more than we sow.
First off, I'd like to add my thought that it appears that most Christians have absolutely NO idea what will happen at "Judgement Day," some say that there is no such thing (ie. "now is the judgment"). There is much talk about God's judgment of man, but few have any real specific, concrete knowledge of what it is, what it's for, how it will happen, who will be involved, how long it will take....
In other words, lots of vague "nebulous knowledge" floating around out there...
Blessings!

In other words ... brian is deliberatly ingnoring what Jesus \ Paul \ John and the OT prophets said \ wrote to even say that there is no "real specific, concrete knowledge of what it is, what it's for, how it will happen, who will be involved, how long it will take...."
How about taking some serious time and read the Bible instead of exhibiting that actually your Bible knowledge is limited.
I'll even clue you in to where to read:
Isaiah 13:9-13
Isaiah 24
Isaiah 34:1-10
Joel 2:28 - Joel 3:17
Zephaniah 1:14-18
Malachi 4:1-5
Matthew 7 :13-23
Matthew 24
Acts 2:16-21
2 Peter 3:10
