And your point is ??

Many Godly men in the Old Testament had multiple wives and concubines...
including two of God's favorites, Abraham and King David.

In the Old Testament God was married to Israel. Then after Israel's civil war,
Israel became two kingdoms, Israel and Judah. God was married to both of
them [later divorcing Israel.] So, one could say, for a period of time,
God was married to two wives.

If you are going to be flippant, I can give it right back.

If you have a question with a point, let's see it.

Easy, the same way they accept that slavery is wrong, that forcing a rape victim to marry their rapist is wrong, that forbidding women from speaking in church is wrong, or any one of a number of other absurd teachings in the Bible that even all religious people ignore today.

The homophobic stuff just hasn't been added to the list yet.

During the civil war many churches justified slavery, since it is expressly permitted in the Bible.

Once gay people finally get equal rights and it becomes socially unacceptable to discriminate against them, the anti-gay stuff will go on the ignore list too and things will continue.

If you think the precepts of the Bible will fade away and apostasy/perversion will continue on indefinitely, you are only deceiving yourself.

Many already have, even among Christians. That was my point.

The Bible tells Christians to expect this... the apostasy, the "falling away"... revealing the "man of sin", the "man of lawlessness."

But the spirit of antichrist only lasts a short time, then his evil world order falls, replaced by the Kingdom of God on earth.

I see, so it's your position then that the moral thing to do would be to return our society to following ALL the teachings of the Bible, so bringing back things like slavery then.

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and tares [tares are weeds], both are allowed to grow until maturity.

At maturity the wheat is laden with fruit and bowed over... leaving the tares [weeds that have no fruit] with their heads held high.

Looking across the field, it is easy to spot the tares at maturity.

The reapers gather the tares first... and burn them.

Today, we witness the zenith of the tares... with their heads held high... but their days are numbered.
