Within religion anything is possible----------and that includes living for more than 900 years or stopping the sunset. Every side has a valid point (as long as they know they are discussing religion).
You belong to a church that very pointedly declares itself to be the only true church. Just sayin....

No different than you Vizio.

No different than the fanatical Muslims who think we are infidels.

You are correct about what the RCC says. But, you can always find many Catholics that are very accepting of ALL other religions.

In fact, the new Pope is very accepting.

Incorrect. Catholicism teaches that it is the faith that brings one in full communion with Christ. However, there is a pathway to heaven for all Christians.

You previously said it wasn't silent on the matter. Now you're saying it is??

Why do you bother with the Bible at all? When the rubber meets the road, you toss it out in lieu of Catholic teaching.

If EVERYTHING was put in the bible it would be so big your average reader could ever digest the main points.

QUESTION:

Only Christians?

That being said, when a person creates doctrine that goes directly against what is revealed in scripture, that is an issue.

Why is it so hard to accept that the CC has Sacred Tradition and that it is still guided by the Holy Spirit?

This is what Jesus said to Peter:

Matthew 16:19
New King James Version (NKJV)
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed[a] in heaven.”

Read the bold part. The Church has the authority do say Mary is a perpetual Virgin.

Because they teach doctrine directly contradictory to scripture. But I shouldn't have to tell you that--you told me you think they teach error. Since God doesn't err, they are not guided by the Holy Spirit.

Remember....you said scripture has errors. Why are you now trying to depend on Matthew 16? And why should I accept your church's interpretation of that passage?

Wow. So you not only know how God thinks you know who the Holy Spirit guides.

I continue to be amazed at what you think you know.
