Can you quote verses for me where the Bible says we should do this?
Jesus spent most of his final night giving encouragement to his faithful apostles. It was the appropriate time to reveal something new. “I am the way and the truth and the life,” Jesus said. “No one comes to the Father except through me.” Later he gave them the reassuring promise: “Whatever it is that you ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father may be glorified in connection with the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” Toward the end of his discussion, he said: “Until this present time you have not asked a single thing in my name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.”—John 14:6, 13, 14; 16:24.

As the story tells us that the Christian man-god was praying alone in the garden whilst John was elsewhere, sleeping with his mates, could you please tell us how exactly, John was able to record verbatim something that he hadn't heard...because he was asleep?
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
1And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Matthew 6:7-13
Jesus called Him Father. If that's good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me. God doesn't limit access to those who use His real, correctly pronounced, properly accented name.
I call Him Daddy, some may see this as disrespectful, but God wants this type of relationship with us. We don't call our birth parents by their names, usually. God is my Father. My Daddy.
