Homosexuality: What does YOUR Pastor say about it?
Well, if he's anything like Ted Haggard he's militantly against it in public, but engages in it secretly while high on meth.

You raise a good point. The answer is who cares what your pastor says about it. The only thing that matters is what God says about it.

God has said absolutely nothing about it.

You believe what some guys wrote thousands of years ago who claimed to be channeling God. Nowadays, those dudes would be pitching their schtick on TV as televangelists and fortune tellers.

And, your pastor ought to be saying what God says. And then you ought to be studying Scripture to make sure he (your pastor) is preaching the truth.

There's no point in arguing with you, but the Scripture is the inerrant Word of God and everything that is teaches is God's perfect truth. Therefore, when it says homosexual acts are contrary to God's objective morality, I believe it.

Indeed. If your pastor is preaching something contrary to the Scripture, you should take your leave of such a person.

Actually no, scripture itself contradicts you. It says Jesus is the Word of God. It never says the English Bible is.

It also says the Sun revolves around the Earth, so you obviously must believe that.

Jesus teaches that the 'Law and the Prophets', also known as the Old Testament were the scripture and the Word of God. Jesus also taught that His words were Scripture, also the words of His disciples.

Actually, it doesn't. It refers to the setting sun and the sun standing still in the sky, which are the same phrases we use today.

Even if that wasn't the case, there are things that the Scripture says that aren't true. However, I never said the Scripture was innerant in everything it says, but that it is inerrant in everything it teaches. The Scripture is innerant in everything it teaches and promises. Big difference. God used the experiences and knowledge of the authors in order to reveal the teachings and nature of God.

He also taught to believe on him, he never said salvation is compulsory on accepting the scriptures

And not all Christians worship Scripture as equivalent to God, so these constant "but Scripture says but Scripture says but Scripture says" arguments are tiresome and go nowhere. There is so much valuable in the Scriptures, but it was written by people, and people put their own slants, personal or cultural, into their writings.
