No actually I don't because you are using circular reasoning. You are using scripture to justify why you believe the spirit gives us truth instead of the Bible, but if you believe in the spirit instead of the Bible as the authority (assuming that they are mutually exclusive), then you should be justified by the spirit regardless if the Bible confirms your belief or not.
No, justtitans, I am not using scripture to justify TO ME why I believe the Spirit, I am using it to show YOU that the foundation of your faith requires that the Spirit be your authority so what you and others claim for the Bible is a paradox simply because the Bible teaches a different authority.
Why aren't there quotes from children in the Bible? 100% of the population starts off as children.
As I told you He DID address the needs of the LGBT community. Matthew 5:44.
Yet....Matthew 5:44 does not mention gay people.
Quote:
He told gays to love their enemies and pray for them. As an example, Jesus obviously knew gay kids and teenagers were going to be tormented and bullied for being who they are.

Do you believe the scripture you quoted to be true, or do you refute it?

The question is not what I believe, but whether YOU can support your belief in the Bible as authority.
Can YOU answer the questoions posed, or are you, like Vizio, going to hide behind an apparent inability to follow a thread or understand questions?
Clearly I believe that the statement I quoted gives the truth about Jesus' promise. Why? Because the Spirit confirms it. Have I answered your question? Will you answer mine?

What question did you have for me? I think you are confusing me with another poster, you haven't asked me anything.
I understand what you are trying to prove, but the question that I asked you had nothing to do with that. I am just trying to understand how you personally view that particular scripture. So my next question for you would be, how do you know that you have this "spirit"? How did you come to find out what it is? Did someone teach it to you?
So when Jesus spoke... his words were for straight people only?
Tell us more.
Who do you think he was speaking to? Hint: Read the 2nd part of the verse.
