Smith Wigglesworth was once staying with a minister whilst on a preaching tour. The minister was missing one of his feet. Smith told him one evening to go to the shoe shop in the morning and buy a shoe for his missing foot - God would do a miracle. That night, the minister wriggled with doubt, had a dream where God said to him, "do as my servant says".
So, he went in the shoe shop, and told the man he needed a shoe for his foot, showing the clerk his missing foot. The man said, "I'm sorry, we don't make shoes for the type of condition you have", ...meaning where prosthetics are required. The minister told him the story, so the clerk asked, " what colour and size?". ...he came back with the shoe, the minister held it in place, and his foot grew into the shoe.
It's in the book 'Smith Wigglesworth - The secret of his power"
On a more personal note: we have a 12 week old baby girl, our 4th child - she is perfectly healthy thank God. But it doesn't stop bad thoughts from coming whilst you're in the expecting phase of parenthood. Being a bit of a realist (engineer by training) I've pondered occasionally the worst circumstance one could find oneself in, and figured it was still birth, and what I would do should such a challenge come. I knew that there is an answer in God and here is someone who did it:
Is it possible that the Christian God healed an amputee? Is it possible that the he brought a stillborn baby to life? Sure. But Allah has done amazing things too:

How do we determine which god is real? Are both gods real?
Islam was/is nothing but a mish-mash of Abrahamic and Christian traditions
interspersed with the imaginations and heretical philosophies espoused by
a 6-7th cent. psychopathic tribal warlord named Muhammad. His gang of
thugs grew and grew like a mafia on steriods. Their aims were temporal
power and control. To this day the descendants of this warlike cult argue
over who is fit to rule it. It's easily the most detrimental and disgusting
warped cult to ever plague mankind, by the numbers.
A very large number of its "adherents" are not voluntary believers.

This man's leg was re-attached after many years. A miracle.
If you believe this was a miracle, what do you believe God intended to communicate by it? What do you believe has been the result of this miracle?
The problem that I have with this is that it takes attention off of Jesus and places it on Mary. If we're honest, I don't see Jesus glorified, but Mary. John the Baptist stated that Jesus must increase, and he must decrease, and I think that's the attitude all Christians should have.
I am an amputee myself(AK/AMP)which means above-the-knee amputee and while it would be a great miracle to have my leg reattached , I find that it is gratifying that God created certain ones with the ability to make prosthetic devices known as artificial legs. I believe it also shows the superior quality of what God gives us over man. It shows that what man makes is temporary as God is everlasting.

Nicely said. I am the daughter of a double amputee. Dad lost both legs below the knee in WWII.
He died of a heart attack in 1999 shortly after undergoing a stump revision and was taking physical therapy in anticipation of being fitted for new prosthetics. He would be amazed at what is available now!

I appreciate I'm a major contributor on this thread so far, so i dont want to appear to be intentionally pouring water on your fire, but I'm not seeing the miracles in the article you refer...? Was it the bit about getting a maid to help with the household chores?
