So you just ignore Leviticus 18:22? After all, it says homosexual activity is detestable. Please explain to me how detestable doesn't mean, well detestable.
Do the backward laws of Leviticus apply to everyone today, or just homosexuals?

Just homosexuals, it would seem. But then, Jeff is all over the place. In the above he is quick to quote Leviticus 18:22 and even emphasizes the word 'detestable' or 'abomination' from that scripture. But, at the same time as he quotes Leviticus, he claims that present day Christians ARE NOT under the Old Covenant. In his post #410 on the "Sodom and Gomorrah - the sin was sodomy, not inhospitality" thread, Jeff states:
"If you think the Old Covenant still applies to modern day Christians then you are ignorant about our faith."
So, there you go. Jeff, like so many Christian Fundamentalists, cherry picks his way through scripture choosing specific passages that suit his agenda and rejecting those that don't. From Jeff and others, present day Christians are not under the Old Covenant UNLESS the discussion involves homosexuality in which case we revert back to the Old Covenant.
You obviously don't know what it means to be born again. When you're born again, the works of the flesh cease, whether heterosexual or homosexual.
I've found that those who flaunt their alleged 'born again' status are among the most self-righteous, the most judgmental, the most obnoxious and the most unloving people one has the misfortune of meeting. These folks can shove their 'born again' rhetoric.
Give me a 'sinner' any day. I can relate to them . . .

You say that like there aren't plenty of people on their second or third marriage who are born again Christians. Are they leaving their adulterous marriage to return to their first spouse or be celibate? Perhaps some do, but the bulk do not. They continue right on committing adultery.

Correct. These "born again" adherents who patronize homosexuals with the "God will accept you as long as you remain celibate" line would not dream of telling divorced people contemplating remarriage the very same thing. As you say, these remarried folks are given the green light to continue a biblical adulterous relationship while the homosexual that is accepted by the church must remain celibate. This form of Christianity that picks and chooses its 'beliefs' based on not wanting to rock the boat too much cannot be taken seriously.

God still said it was detestable and destroyed other nations. He doesn't say that about ANYTHING else there. Just homosexuality. You can dance around that FACT all you want , but it won't change it. And God doesn't change.
You're out of line; those people weren't into homosexual perversion.
Well, Mr. Born Again ...let's put it this way. If you had members such as David and Jonathan in YOUR church who were described to you as the Bible describes these two people, you would no doubt froth at the mouth and call for their immediate dismissal!!
