So, based on the definition of "Christian" I was raised with, (which was based on believing the "right" doctrines, including eternal torment and substitutionary atonement and biblical inerrancy) I'm grateful to say I am not one of those any longer.

Exactly. When someone says, "I'm a Christian", it tells me very little about that person. I know that they are not Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, or Atheist - that's about it. Since identifying as a Christian can have thousands of different meanings, it's better to just drop the label. Note, I did not say "deny Christ", I said drop the label.

Sad but so true, I don't care how much they name call, justify their life of sin they will and have heard the voice of God through His servants speaking to them all the time here . And on the day of judgment they will hear those voices once again as God reveals to them how they exchanged the truth for the lies of God's will .
