Regarding if the Spirit of God is in everyone...take it or leave it.

1 Cor 3--KJV
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you?

Yet, to continue, as usual, the next verse seems pretty weird because how can you destroy God?*shrug*

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy;
for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Right, that's how I'm feeling about it. If someone believes that because they have "right" beliefs God's Spirit is in them, okay -- at least they believe God is with them. I wish they would not also try to convince others that because they have "wrong" beliefs they do not have God's Spirit. But, it comes from a place of wanting others to have God's Spirit, so it's hard to fault that beyond the fact that it causes division in their own minds between themselves and those who do not share their beliefs. But, the Spirit is still working within them and if anyone can draw them to a more inclusive understanding it is the Spirit of love that passes all understanding in it's height and depth and breadth and width (in other words, in it's inclusiveness of all).

How could anyone look at an innocent child and not think God's spirit is within?
And then somehow when we get older, God's spirit is sucked out of us and then we have to "believe" something, in order for His spirit to come back to us?

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense, does it?

No, that was Hepburn's deliberate deflection that then one has to be miserable etc. when the humanistic "feel good'ism" was exposed for where it leads.
"wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. " ~ Jesus
this so-called "awakening ...and you are on your way to Heaven and beauty " is just another continuation of more the same overture of falsehoods from other OP's, coming from the same crowd who refuse to believe the truth taught in Scriptures in multiple topics ( as your above post clearly indicates).

Absolutely nothing in Miss H's post indicated what you are reading into it. In fact, if you back off of your reaction and look at the process YOU believe happens what she said will match. The ONLY difference is that YOU believe the spark that ignites the change described is different from what YOU think Miss H believes.

Nonsense ... just because something is wrapped differently doesn't remove the stench that permeates.

Likewise open hostile OP's \ posts to the other extreme of covert flowery OP's \ posts (like this OP) that are in opposition to what Scriptures teach doesn't remove the stench.

But nice try to circle the wagon as usual.

Twin, you are trying to convince people who are breathing beautiful fresh air that there's a stench.

You're trying to convince people that there is a hidden stench (people are going to end up in hell because they don't believe the right doctrines), but when they feel connected to God and to love, and are experiencing the impact of that on their lives, you can see how that wouldn't work, right?

Once more, you are truly reflecting the continual rejection of Scripture (that this OP is at the heart of) by your condescending of Jesus saying that people are going to end up in hell because they don't believe the right doctrines.
"wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. " ~ Jesus
The above from Jesus declares that "all paths lead to God" which you \ Hepburn \ sparrow (and many others) desperately hope for ... is ... a ... lie.

When it is openly stated elsewhere that:
  1. that God is not bound to,
  2. nor does God endorse,
    • any one "holy book"
    • nor any one religion,
    • nor any one person to be a go-between.
  3. this would be threatening to any religious person who thinks that it is imperative for people to believe certain doctrines in order to be "saved".
the stench can't be flowered up with generic slogans of "feelings and God and love"

One day, your knee will bow as well, from the sheer weight of His love.
You are on a path to God, as well, Twin.
As we all are.

Perfect love casts out all fear.
Whom God has set free... is FREE indeed.
Once you realize that YES, He WILL leave the 99 to save the ONE that is still yet lost.... nothing can take away the peace in your heart. No mere man.

peace,
sparrow
