So if there has been significant tampering with the texts that might change your mind? You still have to say God was responsible for the original texts.
It's about the originals. We call them the autographs. For instance, the KJV was a solid translation, for its time, but there are better translations now.
Although we don't believe that the individual translations are perfect, there is no dispute over 99% of the text. We have enough manuscript evidence to be confident in that.

Do you believe God has guided the translations therefore they are accurate? I heard someone say the scriptures had much colloquial speech. Do you think the meanings held up?
Interesting conversation, but veering way off-topic. Someone might want to start a new thread to further discuss the validity and history of biblical texts.
The original manuscripts are Inspired -- God's message. it goes deeper than him just giving a feeling, or someone getting an idea from him.
2 Peter 1:21 "For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."
God actually spoke through men to write the Bible.

Inspired does not mean dictated. Inspirations are all interpreted using the receiver's knowledge, beliefs, and understanding. You can't even be certain 2 Peter is canonical let alone accurate. You have blindly accepted all these assertions. Have you bothered to investigate any biblical scholarship about these writings that you invest so much certainty and power in?

Sure I can. I get the warm fuzzies when I read it. That's good enough.
<edit> JUST NOW saw mensaguy's post about staying on topic. I'm done on this point, and won't respond to any more. You wish to start a new thread, knock yourself out.
So what would convince you that gay people are born the way they are, and shouldn't be treated differently?
Why would anyone believe that?
There are a LOT of people born with tendencies that are immoral, wrong, or sinful. But God never gives sinful behavior a pass simply because of it. Why would someone simply ignore God's command based on feelings or urges he/she has since birth?

Further evidence that your god-thing is an amoral moron.
But you aren't willing to actually admit that you ARE wrong on anything related to the Bible and your beliefs. Meaning the discussion would be a pointless waste of time.
You cannot reason with an extreme fundamentalist, anymore than that of a malignant narcissist.
They enjoy devaluing people and pointing out everyone else's flaws, except that of their own.
