Thank you sir, but no need to put us on a pedestal, we simply do what we ought to be doing. Love for Jehovah and neighbor is the motivating factor, not any personal recognition.

The 144K in Revelation are sealed as evangelists for those still on Earth during the Great Tribulation. Rev. 7:14 gives some evidence as to their effectiveness.

I have heard many people say that JG, that is why it is always better to ask one of us, or investigate our beliefs yourself on JW.org

The answer why those 144,000 are taken from the earth is given in Revelation 7 and 14.

It appears baptism is no longer a definitive requirement to be considered… but I’d guess some don’t agree with this. Purgatory doesn’t seem to be considered by - all?

Deathbed conversions - I thought their validity among many is considered valid.

I don’t know. I have not been baptized, and it was a primary reason for being bullied in school, but I was only derided as someone who has no name, so they called me “It.” That was hurtful.

144K is a very small number, it seems, if one considered how many folks have died who consider themselves Christians - and those who never have, but convert at the last minute.

I didn’t know that this 144K number as to how few are meant to reach heaven was widely accepted by all Christians. Religions are fascinating to me. I believe the clear majority of humans on earth are Muslim.

But back to the 144,000 - I can only find it as part of one group, JWs. I thought everyone who asked forgiveness, believed, converted, repented were allowed per modern tenets, but I don’t know. I would find that difficult for many, as very few who’ve did and will die would qualify.

Interesting question.

Hi Wing, don't recall ever speaking to you before, nice to meet you maam. Only Christians are allowed in heaven, that is a provision only offered in the new covenant, not offered to pre-Christian people of God.

All of them are not only baptized by water, but fire as well, in other words by holy spirit.

Children can be very cruel, as many adults can be as well, the key is that we have control over ourselves, simply make sure we are not part of the problem.

Jehovah knows the heart, if someone confesses on their deathbed in seriousness, no doubt God would accept that, but you cannot deceive God.

The Bible clearly numbers those who are redeemed from the earth Rev 14:3 Billions will inherit the earth designed for them Mat 5:5 Ps 37:9-11,29

Thank goodness G. Songs have been written about a world without love. I certainly wouldn't want to be among those without love. A definite plus for sure.

We teach it is a literal number, as it is contrasted to a great crowd that cannot be numbered. At any rate it is found in the Bible, and is important.
