Satan is bound. This is not to say Satan has no power. He does. He continues to tempt, but no longer can he control people against their will as he did during the time Jesus walked the earth. Demon possession is no more.

Pay close attention to Mark 3:27 posted below. Jesus has tied Satan up.

Jesus has entered the strong man’s house and is plundering his goods because he has bound the strong man. Jesus has invaded Satan’s realm and he can take anything he wants from him. Jesus can do with Satan’s rule and authority what he wills because he has bound up Satan. Jesus has authority and rule over Satan. Jesus came for a critical victory against Satan which would set us free from our captivity to sin. Think about this: the authority that Jesus possesses is used to bind Satan and set us free. How sad that the scribes missed this!

Mark 3
20 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. 21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

22 A d the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”

23 So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. 27 In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house. 28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Ephesians 1:21
“…far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”

1 Peter 3:22
“…who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.”

I think that 99.9% (or more) of what people in Jesus' day believed was demon possession was simply mental illness. And I do not believe that Satan is bound at this time. I believe he will be, though, when Christ returns to usher in the Millennium.

From what Holy Spirit show here is that satan in plural for millions of fallen angels or the bible calls them spiritual wickedness in the high places, and demon spirits are devils, then there are the powers of darkness spirit who holds the power to hold curses of the fallen angels and the power for the demons to bring sin and hurt the health of man and animals ........ Still satan and his hoards is all these and a defeated foe for Jesus Christ and His children, we're authority of the believers' prayer can loose and bind spiritual wickedness and bind demons and powers of darkness through Jesus name, or believers can rebuke these spirits in Jesus name and Christ will repulse them out of the believers spiritual space ........ Holy Spirit will being discernment of spirit through Jesus....... After the cross of Christ, God took this grace and believer who need to be cleansed of these spirit need to prayer these Words of God as God must have their participation of faith, or He cannot deliver these spirits away from people

Adversity is a principle that results in active resistance, opposition, or contentiousness within the human nature. And the Hebrew term for Satan merely describes an adversarial role (an adversary). Whereas, an accuser (slanderer, devil) is known for his unrighteous disposition. However, the principalities and powers of unholy (human) messengers, had inculcated the doctrines of demons, the devil and Satan in the early views of men; falsely fostering and prospering them. Truth becomes known, when deception falls away (that of self-induced blindness). Christ denounced these doctrines and traditions of men within the Spirit of truth as the ego driven desires are within men, resist them.

Those who live according to the human nature have their mind set on what their nature desires, but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their mind set on what the Spirit wants: Along came the tempter; the lust of the eyes (understanding of the mind), lust of the flesh (a heart of emotion) and the pride of life (the desires of the will). Thus, while the first Adam conceded to all that is in the world (that which extends deep down from the surface - yet, is visible through distinctive traits or characteristics common to all humanity); the second Adam stood his ground against the natural disposition of the soul and the temperament within that of other men.

"To fully integrate adversity is to assimilate it into one’s own mind."

Satan is NOT bound now but will be during the millenium. He will be released for a short time at the end of the millenium to test those who have become unbelievers. The lake of fire is next on the agenda.........those who have seen and been with the Lord and yet don't believe will simply be vaporized.

I go with what the Scriptures say. Jesus said He cast out demons, therefore, there were demons.

We are living in the thousand year reign of Christ now. The kingdom is here. Jesus is King. He is reigning.
