If Jesus will return to be seen by all why were there no reports of him leaving in China if its going to be so public "in like manner"? Why didn't one Roman historian record this event? Was it not addressed to men of Galilee?

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
Only a few men of Galilee saw him leave so how is it that on the return its going to be so globally obvious if its in like manner?

So, there is No one particular person as per 1st John 2:18,22; 4:3; 2nd John verse 7.
All beast-like governments comprise being the beast, so that even goes back further than papal Rome.
Since judgement starts with the religious ' House of God ' then Christendom ( apostate Christianity ) will be the first to go as per 1st Peter 4:17. A new broom sweeps clean. Jesus as that figurative new broom will sweep clean all false religious practices before Jesus, as Prince of Peace, ushers in global international Peace on Earth among persons of goodwill.

Just as a loving child would ' fear ' disrespecting a loving parent.
So, we are to have a ' reverential fear ' of displeasing God.
That type of fear is really love. Love as mentioned at 1st John 4:18.
That type of love is the love as per John 15:13; John 13:34-35 to have the same type of ' self-sacrificing love ' for others as Jesus has.

amen and amen.. Yes fear sure can be true love.. And it can be wisdom.

Do you believe a loving parent would kill their child if they were disappointed in him/her? Yet while you recognize that killing a child would be unjustifiable evil from a "mortal," you would still embrace a murderous god who would do the exact same thing?
When a healthy relationship exists between parent and child the outcome is Trust. And even though the child might break the trust she has of her father, He doesn't break His covenant relationship with His child.
The Bible is replete with examples. In Hosea God commands His prophet to marry a prostitute, knowing she will cheat on him. He marries her and she does, running away. God tells Hosea to go after her and bring her back anyway!
In Psalm 89 the author uses the first half of his poem to outline for God all the promises He made to David and Israel. In the second half, he, in so many words, informs God that He is a liar. David's line has disappeared, there is no longer a Temple, and God failed to deliver.
Now if one "fears" God they would never be so bold as to call Him a liar. BUT, if there is mutual trust between writer and the Almighty, then the writer need not fear, because his loving Father rejoices despite the child's disappointment.
What we are in need of, is more Christians with the guts to talk to God without fear, but in trust that God loves us regardless. The honesty might give God a heart attack. I'm sure He's more than a little disgusted with children who whisper sweet nothings in His ear in hopes that He won't see the brutality we practice toward others in His name.
