Looks like no Redeye or Hellcat for me.

Has to be the Challenger R/T 392 Scat Pack (best bang for the buck) since they no longer make the SRT 392 Challenger that I test drove.

Shaker hood option? Don't know will add to cost which is a $2,200 cosmetic option.
Wide Body Option $6,000 more??? I guess not-NO

The SP is probably a better value and most of the power differential with the Hellcat is power few use any way including me so the Hellcat is selling capability over practicality. I didn't realize they quit making the SRT 392, when I compared that versus the SP, I thought the upgrades on the SRT were worth it for me.

I ran into 2 guys from Australia at Glacier Park yesterday that had rented a Challenger RT to travel across the USA...they had put 7000 miles on it and they both loved it but bot wished they had gotten the 392 motor.

About that Shaker option, I really like the look of it and I think you will get a lot of that cost back when you sell but you're right, just an appearance package.

I like that shaker look too. I would definitely go for the 392 over the 5.7 anyday/anytime.
I understand the shaker hood gets in the way of when you have to change the oil.
I am not sure if it does when you have to add the oil.

If you don't get that shaker option then you still get a hood that doesn't function?
I forget what that hood looks like. I don't think it's the Hellcat hood which is functional unless you get the Wide Body Option which I probably won't get.

So if you don't want to shell out $2,200 for the shaker which hood scoop do you get?

You dont get a hood scoop. You only get a Bulged ram air hood.
The shaker is only good for shaking and not air input. It is functional, but doesnt add to the power.

But still the bulge is not functional. I believe that if you get the shaker package they add some different kind of trim to interior.
I believe it is the Wide Body Scat Pack they give you the functional Hellcat hood that lets the hot air from engine out.
Must be both Redeye and Hellcat Challengers only models in Challenger line that get the headlight air intake.

Yeah but youre not using it as a daily driver, so you will never have overheating issues in the 392, and you dont really need the hellcat hood. The vented hood is meant to take hot air from the hellcat motor, its not needed for the 392.

Must be needed for super charged engines which I have never owned a vehicle with a super charger that generates more heat vs. the regular aspirated engine.

I do like the idea of having functional items vs. just for cosmetics. (would like to have both actually) especially that headlight air intake and functional hood, ram air etc. but all of that is only applicable and needed for the higher end Challengers -Hellcat and Redeye.

Thats true, but like Tall Traveller said, that widebody will help the resale value years down the line.
