I know it's hard...there are a lot of South-haters on this site, but when it comes down to it do they really matter at all? Let them run their mouths and show them (and everyone else) that we are better than that!
I'm just being extra-congenial tonight...tomorrow I may come back and blast someone right along with you. I understand what you're saying completely.
The real T is I love the Northeast, these posters on here go above and beyond with there arrogant attitudes.. Just visit the best dressed region thread and you will see NYC posters at therre best
I see a lot more love than hate on this thread (although Kidphilly got somewhat agitated it seems).
After reading through it, I think it's more lighthearted fun based soft bashing (if that exists) with Kid/HTown. Someone stopping through probably wouldn't see it that way though. It would likely appear to be serious bashing that you see elsewhere........
There's really no north/south beef at all, just online I guess.

I've found this to be mostly true as well...city-data opinions certainly do not reflect those of the real world. The kind of animosity exhibited online is rarely found in real-life discussions.
What about some other places, are there cities that may infill more? Places like Cleveland with a UA of 1.7 million, Detroit (3.8), and Cincinnaiti (1.6 and wisely below the radar on this forum); do people see inflill in these places and movement back toward their cores?
Or what to make of the UA metric when a city like Pittsburgh has a UA of 1.7 million vs a place like Denver with a UA of 2.2 million; are the urban compositions even similar for cities with similar sizes?

Yeah its not that bad as I know many of NYers who always talk about coming to Atlanta and vice versa. Ill be in NYC 2 times in October 1 for algeria during halloween weekend.. people Down south like the north and people up north like visiting the south..

I don't see much infill for these cities especially Detroit. I think infill will be more noticeable in the south where there is so many gaps to fill.
I think Pittsburg's economy is slowly building back up, I think their UA will increase more through repurposing and redevelopments than in fill though

definately, we visit the north all the time, and northerners visit here all the time and love it. CD is just weird tho. You never hear visitors come here and say omg your density is too low or your UA is too large.
I often hear how big the city is or how tall the buildings are, but never any stupid ronsense people go on about on CD

Well there are caviar and #2 super sized taste buds, but more importantly is the wine that accompanies
Un-aged steel barreled wines are becoming more popular, sweet to the tongue but not much body or aroma and lacking in tanin. Mostly they are adopted by the undecerning palate...
