Every city has slums. Who cares about slums. They don't define Philly and its greater metropolitan area. Even Housotn has slums, but Houston is not defined by its fifth ward.
Right especially North. And West Philly is the poster child for crime proverty, filth, large rats if you see the garbage people pile up on the streets you would have a xaniety attack from the smells.. They talk about all these walkable stuff but 63.97 percent of people drove to work or car pooled.. Proverty rates are riseing there.. City govertlment says lack of jobs, educational failures, houseing issues and crime are key factors in philadelphias fight against proverty.. It's at 25 percent which is high..

those were rats? I thought they were bloated chihuahuas
I dunno about walking through those hoods, I would probably have to carry some heavy ammo.
they should just condemn that that place, it shows the ills of high density at its worst.
too many people, too much waste, too much crime, too much poverty, too pricey, waaaaaaaaay too negative. give me Georgia, the Carolinas, Florida, Texas, or Socal anyday
This conversation is not on the topic. I have decided to refrain. There are no facts or dialogue on growth rates of UA or why or why not is a menaingful metric. Honestly HTown even I get bored of the useless banter and now it has just become conjecture and name calling.

there he is.
I thought we already settled the UA discussion. Philly is gonna drop a lot of places.
My predictions:
1. NY
2. LA
3. Chi
4. DFWA
5. SF/SJ/Oak
6. MIA
7. Houston
8. Philly
9. Bost
10. ATL
So SF and SJ will be in one MSA? if not they will not be combined. I predict the top 10 to be for the 2010 Census (very similar to the 2008 rankings)
1. NYC
2. LA
3. Chicago
4. Miami
5. Philadelphia
6. DFW
7. DC
8. Houston
9. Boston
10. Houston
lol you changed that quickly, was gonna say you liked Houston so much you listed it twice.
Yeah SF and SJ will be one UA.
